Die Übersetzerin © 2010 | GERMAN
The translation agency “Die Übersetzerin” (The Translator) was founded in 2000 by
Christiane Gertz, Diplom-Übersetzerin (graduated translator). She studied at the
University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. Her diploma thesis is entitled "The Compact
Disc - a Terminological Analysis with Multiterm” and has been published online by the
“Institut für Informationsmanagement” (Institute for Information Management).
She specialized in technical and marketing texts. Her interest in all things technical
and the computer world also helped when she got the EURIC certificate “PC-
Anwendungsberater” (Personal Computer Application Consultant).
For bigger projects, Christiane cooperates with other freelancers, all graduated and
with experience in the required fields. All translations are proof-read several times.
The quality management work also requires the translators to be in contact with the
customer to clarify any questions that may arise.
We are part of the marketing campaign “Wuppertal-
Keiner wie wir” (There is noone like us) which shows
the diversity of Wuppertal, its citizens and companies.
Companies can choose an adjective which describes
them best... ours is “wortgewandt” (eloquent).
Wuppertal is the
industrial and cultural
center of in an area of
Northrhine Westfalia
called “Bergisches
Land”. Famous for the
“Schwebebahn”
(suspended monorail),
Wuppertal was well-
known for technical
innovation right from the beginning of the last century,
when it was constructed and built.
